First meeting of the Airdrie Stars groups was held on the 16th of June 2009. The program structure was reviewed and we decided on the following:

General structure would fall under three categories:

1. Studies: We will study a well known book called "Breezes of Confirmation"


2. Service Projects: We will prepare ourselves to perform acts of service in Airdrie


3. Learning Activities: We will work hard to enhance our skills and abilities while we learn

Junior Youth Program - Airdrie Stars

The Junior Youth Spiritual Empowerment Program is a global initiative aimed at endowing youth ages 12-14 with the ability to recognize the spiritual significance of their actions and words. In Airdrie, Alberta the Junior Youth Program is carried out with the guidance and support of the Baha’i Institute Board. As members of a junior youth group in their own neighborhood, middle school-aged youth work together to develop the skills and attitudes necessary to become active participants in thier communities and the world at large, beginning to understand that they have the ability to transform their own lives. Working together with their group leaders, group members identify service opportunities in their communities, allowing them the chance to continue to increase their capabilities and strengthen their bonds with each other and the community in which they live.
